Representling my local snowmobile club, Northern Lights SC, I ventured up to the Keweenaw Penninsula, located at the northern edge of the Michigan Upper Penninsula (UP) to discuss our plan to ride there and the resulting trail conditions with the Keweenaw SC President, John Dee (yes that John Dee, the weather guy).  Turns out there is minimal trail route impact with 90% of the trails unimpacted by the big Fathers Day Storm.  So our planned 4 day ride up in the UPPER is on!

Average annual snowfall is 187.4" with a record of 390.4" set in 1978-79. Last season, they received 304" total.

It was great meeting John Dee, he does a great job of reporting snow and weather conditions in this part of the world and is a true gentleman.
